Conditions for independent work outside of the state-owned theatres
A round table discussion
The discussion will take place within the programme of the Festival of Independent Theatre and Dance "They are Leaving"
The discussion will search for answers to the following questions:
•Why should there be independently working artists?
•Does the State consider the existence of "non-state" creativity?
•Does the State have the responsibilities for stimu;ating it?
•How are the priorities in state cultural policies set?
•What conditions has the State created for independently working artsts?
•What are the needs of the independently-working artists?
•What measures could the state implement to solve the problems?
Theatre directors, actors and performing arts managers, representatives of state administration and journalists will take part in the discussion.
