Mechanisms for financing the arts in Bulgaria: current status, problems, solutions”
A round table debate. A joint project of Sofia University, The Red House – Centre for Culture and Debate, and the Institute for Modernity.
This inter-university initiative that brings together for the first time representatives of all art forms to discuss a common strategy to develop suggestions for a cultural policy that better serves their needs. It was co-organised by The Red House. The project consists of three round tables discussions. The first one gathered only “cultural workers”, the second one will include also media representatives, analysts and the business, the third round table will include the former groups plus the politicians in charge of the cultural policy in the country. The idea is to build a consensus on changes needed in the cultural policy in the country, and to present the government with the proposals.
