public lecture by Prof. Gerard Brugal
Based on 20 years' experience of co-ordinating projects and
networks funded by the European Commission, Pr. Gerard BRUGAL
has been involved as an expert in a variety of committees
at the French and European level in charge of designing new
models for the funding of Research and Development in Europe.
He has co-ordinated G7/G8 initiatives and is Expert for the
European Commission and for US patent court cases.
As an in-house consultant of VITAMIB, he has been supervising
almost a hundred European projects as executive manager since
1999 including large consortia (more than 40 partners, budget
above 20 Mˆ).
As Professor at the Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble,
France, Gerard Brugal has continuously collaborated with SMEs
as well as large European and International industrial companies
thus contributing, in collaboration with other European research
institutions, to accelerate the deployment of basic research
and technology into the biomedical applications domains.
