Loss and Separation
A training seminar

The seminar makes part of the Art for Social Change – Play Against Violence 3 training module and is designed for participants, supervisors and coordinators from the third phase of the programme.

Course leader: Prof. Dr. Thomas Schwinger – Psychodrama and Social Therapy trainer, Professor in Social Psychology at the University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt, Germany

Main topics:

  • Warming up for working together and for working with loss and separation
  • A protagonists play about a related experience
  • A play about the observed problems of children with closing (either protagonist or group)
  • Some closing procedures in psychodrama
  • The model of attachment and some consequences for psychodramatic work
  • Opening and closing a session
  • Back home procedures: confronting with the separation in the session and training the good bye

Schedule:

Tuesday, 18th of June
8 – 10 p.m. Preparatory discussion with the participants on questions about:

  • the staff
  • the children
  • the working sessions with children

Wednesday, 19th of June

9 – 12 a.m. – training session
2 – 6 p.m. – training session

Thursday, 20th of June

9 – 12 a.m. – training session
2 – 6 p.m. – training session

Language of the workshop: English. Translation in Bulgarian will be provided.
