Journalists
and sociologists – “always blamed”, or how we can be mutually
beneficial for each other?
Discussion in the framework of the project “Policies and Practices
of Reasonable Mediation” of the Bulgarian Sociological Association,
with the support of the Open Society Institute – Sofia. The
project deals with the social effectiveness and the public visibility
of sociological surveys. The issues about the use, interpretation
and presentation of the sociological surveys will be discussed.
The discussion will try to answer questions of communication,
and the following among others: can the professional norms stipulated
in the Code of Ethics in Journalism and the Code of Ethics of
the Bulgarian Sociological Association reduce the possibility
for manipulations?
