    Specialization:
    Theatre in the Social Work and Practice, Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Dynamics

    Competences:
    The graduates are specialists in the filed of the artistic psycho-social practices, who:
    o Know the man and his/her environment as well as their relationships through the perspective of the creativity and spontaneity as basic qualities of the personal growth and autonomy;

    o Have knowledge to work with people based on the different expressive psycho-social approaches – psychodrama, sociometry, group dynamics, role analysis, role playing, etc. – for improving the social functioning of man and increasing his/her existential and personal effectiveness;

    o Have ability to undertake different counseling practices with individuals, groups, communities and institutions in the filed of arts, education, social work, health services, etc.;

    o Have knowledge and abilities to work in interdisciplinary teams with artists, psychologists, pedagogues, social workers, medical doctors, managers, educators and other specialists and realize artistic and other projects with socially disadvantaged people, people trying to improve their personal and social skills, people suffering from mental illnesses, victims of violence, addicts, people with special needs;

    o Could work within individual, group and organizational context for problem-solving, decision-making, optimization of interpersonal relationships, organizational functioning, the management of people, teams, etc.;

    o Could carry out scientific research in the field of the arts and the human interactions in different cultural contexts.

    Additional admission requirements:
    The MA programme is designed for people who have at least a bachelor degree in one or more of the following fields:

    o Various Arts (Theatre, Drama, Performance, Music, Visual Arts, Dance, etc.);
    o Psychology, Social work, Pedagogy, Humanities, Sociology, Philosophy, Economics, Medicine;
    o Cultural Management, Cultural Policy, Cultural Anthropology, etc.

    The admission to the programme is based on 1. motivational essay

    Admission

    The admission interviews will take place on October 4, 2006 (Wednesday) – from 11.00 a.m. till 3.00 p.m. at the New Bulgarian University, 21, Montevideo St., Sofia 1635 – corpus II, Library meeting hall.

    The motivational essay should be prepared in advance and submitted in written during the admission exam.

    The inscription of all admitted will take place after October 4, 2006.
