Thematic seminar “Active approaches and their application in social work”

The seminar is designed for mixed group of participants from Duga Home, Youth House, The Department for Child Protection - Dobrich, Dobrich Municipality and the Play – Dream – Reality. Me and Others team of the Art for Social Change programme.

The seminar is introductory, has a practical trend and aims at acquaintance of the participants with different expressive psycho-social approaches (psychodrama, group dynamic, sociometry, role analysis, etc.) applicable in work with people in different social contexts.

The seminar introduces new view points towards possibilities and methods of work with children and young people at risk given by the application of artistic means and abiding being into playing situation (playing).

Themes concerning team working, sharing of responsibilities, partnering, active presence in a common working space, etc. in different types of social practices will be touched upon.

The participants in the seminar will be given opportunity to provoke and explore their own creativity and spontaneity in different role situations taken from their personal and professional experience. The seminar will explore in group context the processes of change of human sensation, of understanding of our own-self, happening through creative imagination and in the symbolic origin of different artistic practices.

The seminar makes part of the training module of the Art for Social Change programme.
