LISTEN TO CHILDREN’S DREAMS
Listen to Children’s Dreams is a long-term social program of GLOBUL and is targeted at improving the communication skills and the socialization of underprivileged children in Bulgaria by means of art.
The purpose of the program is to enable the children to learn to communicate, to express themselves in a free way, to have confidence and thus become valuable members of society. In the process of art communication psychologists and artists work and create together with the children thus encouraging them to be more independent, confident, frank and courageous. The methods they use are art-therapy, psychodrama and role plays. The work aims to improve the children’s skills for interpersonal communication, decision-making, personal choice and self-control. Another major objective is to make the children “put in order” the things they know about their past and start to make plans about the future – the way all children do.
For a third consecutive year GLOBUL will invest all revenue of text messages, sent between its subscribers on Christmas day for fulfillment of initiatives under the program Listen to Children’s Dreams. In 2006 GLOBUL invested 117000 BGN in the program and in 2007 – 150000 BGN.
