Discovered Children was shot at the end of 2006 during a group work through artistic means (drama, drawings, music, dance, etc.) and expressive methods (psychodrama, sociodrama, group dynamics, etc.) with more than 200 children from Homes for Children Deprived from Parental Care in Blagoevgrad, Veliko Tarnovo and a Boarding School in Elhovo.
The film tells how the children learn through the means of art to express themselves better and to find their way to the other ones.

The film is part of the long-term social programme Listen to Children’s Dreams of Globul aiming at improvement of communication skills and socialization of underprivileged children. The programme is realized with the support of Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation in partnership with non-governmental organisations and specialists in the filed of artistic psycho-social approaches, artists, psychodrama-therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, art-therapists, social workers, etc.

Ivan Nikolov
Direction, Photography and Script

Ivan is a visual artist. He holds a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts from Sofia University. He deals with video art, photography, documentaries, prints, etc. mostly in the performing arts – theatre, performances but also in concerts and exhibitions.
Since 2000 he has been participating in projects applying creative means in group work with underprivileged children. He has over 200 hours of training in psycho-social support through creative means within the frame of Art for Social Change programme.
From 1997 till 2000 he participated in various exhibitions, performances, video- and TV productions in Bulgaria and abroad.
Script and montage of The Iraqi Workout (2005) – documentary about a female fitness-club in Iraq. Director and cameraman of Mehdi Safar (2006) – documentary about Iran community in Bulgaria, etc.

Alexandar Evtimov
Script and Music as part of Popara
Musician, mime, video artist. He composes film music and songs, takes part in performances and theatre productions.
Since 2000 he participates in projects applying creative means in group work with underprivileged children. He has over 200 hours of training in psycho-social support through creative means within the frame of Art for Social Change programme.
Playwright, sound and montage of the feature film Angel (2005). Script and music of Mehdi Safar (2006) – documentary about Iran community in Bulgaria.
Founder of Popara. Co-founder of Portokal – art laboratory and Street theatre group.

Boriana Pandova
Script and Montage
Boriana has studied theatre at the Theatre Department of the New Bulgarian University and Fine and Applied Photography at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia.
She works as a designer of visual messages with digital camera, camera and computer. Boriana participates in various photo- and video exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. She also participates as organizer and visual artist in projects dealing with underprivileged children.
