IT IS AGAIN TIME FOR FUTURE SHORTS PROGRAMME THIS MONTH!!

The Red House Centre for Culture and Debate and Future Shorts - the biggest short films and cartoons network have the pleasure to present you the April Future Shorts Programme:

This is Hardcore!

Future Shorts Festival returns this April with an inspiring and touching collection of short, dazzling program "This is Hardcore!". Featuring "The Bohemian Rhapsody Project", a strange operatic reworking of the Queen Classic from Singapore, a coming-of-age story of love and rock in "Heavy Metal" from Finland as well as a classic music video from rising director Dominic Leung for The Bees, and the sentimental and unforgettable documentary about the legends of Bulgarian new-wave music scene the "Revue", that was made in 1989 by director Ivan Kovachev.

The Bohemian Rhapsody Project (dir. Tzu Nyen Ho, Singapore, 2006)
A boy is on trial, and his heart is broken at the sight of his crying "mama": the script is based entirely on the lyrics to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, and is set entirely in the Singapore Supreme Courtroom.

Heavy Metal (dir. Zaida Bergroth, Finland, 2007)
The end of the 80s, a village in the middle of Finland. 15-year-old Hevari, the only long-haired boy in town, is the coolest guy in the world - at least according to Kake from next door. No one else seems to agree. Short-tempered Hevari is used to being the laughing stock among the gang and the girls. But when the Friday night comes and there's a disco at the community hall, it's time to go again. Maybe tonight everything will be different.

Rattlesnakes (dir. Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurosson, Iceland, 2007)
When Anton decides to buy some cowboy boots, everything in his life changes…

Alptarum (dir. This Luscher, Switzerland, 2007)
Imagine Switzerland’s national soccer-team playing the finals of the Euro 2008 and the TV-channel turning black! A comical fairytale about soccer, dreams and the belief that the impossible can come true.

Les Amours Perdus (dir. Caroline Sascha Cogez, Denmark, 2005)
In the twenty-four hours around the concert of world-famous flute player Michala Petri, three people are trying to grasp on to love.

Listening Man (dir. Caroline Sascha Cogez, United Kingdom, 2007)
Learning the best way to shut someone up in this video for the track by ‘The Bees’.

Waterfall Manager (dir. Ivan Kovachev, Bulgaria, 1989)
A documentary about the idols of Bulgarian new-wave scene - "Revue". The film is shot during their concerts across Bulgaria. The members of the band are sharing their points of view about the music, society and everything else. A legendary band, in a film that will show you Bulgaria in 1989.
